Hollywood (and Beyond) Harassment Roundup: January 16

Aziz Ansari, an accusation by Eliza Dushku, and a quick hit.

It's been a weird few days for accusations, but here goes.

Aziz Ansari

The #MeToo movement might have jumped the shark with this one. A woman has claimed that she went on a date with the Parks & Rec star which ended with her joining him in his apartment. They engaged in some sexual activity but, she says, she felt uncomfortable the entire time. She claims to have been giving him non-verbal cues to this effect, and I guess we're supposed to be mad at Ansari for not being able to read her mind. When she told him verbally she didn't want to have sex, he stopped immediately. When she said she wanted to leave, he called her an Uber and got her home safely.

The monster.

Joel Kramer

Actress Eliza Dushku (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Bring it On) has accused a stunt coordinator of sexually molesting her as a child.

Quick Take

Earlier this month, Hollywood heavy-hitter screenwriter Paul Haggis was accused of a variety of sexual improprieties. Actress Leah Remini says she finds the allegations against her fellow ex-Scientologist "very suspect," and suggested that Scientology is behind it.
