Holder Mocks Congressman's Misspeak

Eric Holder and Louis Gohmert had a heated exchange Tuesday on Capitol Hill

Rep. Louis Gohmert (R-TX) is known as a vocal opponent of Attorney General Eric Holder's handling of his role and duties at the Justice Department. On Tuesday, Gohmert and Holder had a heated exchange about the DOJ refusing to release documents requested by Congress for their review.

The main part of the exchange being covered by media Tuesday and Wednesday pertained to Holder telling Gohmert that he took the contempt vote held by Congress two years ago seriously and then telling Gohmert, "You don't want to go there, buddy."

Another part of the exchange had Holder making a dig at a misspeak Gohmert made during last year's House Judiciary hearing where the congressman said, "The attorney general will not cast aspersions on my asparagus." Holder also blamed the "gun lobby" for previous hearings where he was questioned. After Gohmert responded and tried to ask Holder a question about gay marriage, his time expired and Holder retorted,

Good luck with your asparagus.

The comment is almost inaudible on the CSPAN video.
