Beleaguered Meet The Press host David Gregory was spotted having lunch with CNN President Jeff Zucker, Gregory's former boss at NBC/Universal, last week, according to a report.

The sighting of Gregory and Zucker together, as Politico's Dylan Byers noted, won't exactly quiet reports that Gregory may be in his final days as MTP host:

The lunch, which took place Thursday, came amid speculation that Gregory could be out as host of "Meet the Press" as early as November. The Sunday morning public affairs show has suffered from consistently low ratings in recent months, and Gregory has been subject to an onslaught of negative media coverage.

According to Byers, the lunch was not a "formal discussion about a job opportunity," although both Gregory and CNN officials declined comment.
