German intelligence services have identified an Islamist network being run by women Jihadis, local media reports. The terrorist network comprising of 40 women has been operating out of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Islamist women are joining the ranks of Jihadi fighters to “fill the gap left by their detained husbands,” German broadcaster Deutsche Welle revealed.
“German authorities target Islamist women's network,” writes the broadcaster Deutsche Welle:
German intelligence services said on Tuesday that they had identified an Islamist terror network made up of around 40 women in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany's most populous state.
Burkhard Freier, the head of the North Rhine-Westphalian Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), told Germany's Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper that the network followed a strict Salafist doctrine — from how to raise children and cooking ingredients, to how to interpret the rules of Islam and stir up hatred against so-called "non-believers."
The result, Freier said, could be something "much more difficult to dissolve, namely Salafist pockets within society."
The Islamist women's network also advertises and proselytizes Salafist ideology — which subscribes to an extremely conservative interpretation of Islam — aggressively on the internet, Freier said. And while it was wrong to conflate Salafism with extremism, every European jihadi in Europe in recent years had been a member of the Salafist scene, the BfV head added.
German intelligence agencies' measures to take down these existing Islamist women’s networks will come to nothing if Chancellor Angela Merkel’s government goes ahead with its plans to sabotage these efforts.
The Merkel government has decided to bring back the wives and children of German Islamic State terrorists currently incarcerated by the Iraqi forces following the collapse of the Caliphate in that country. Importing these ISIS-brides is expected to infuse fresh blood into the ongoing Islamist mobilization in the country.
The German Foreign Ministry has justified the step citing “humanitarian considerations” and “Germany’s duty to protect its citizens” – in this case: coming to the aid of Islamists holding German passports, who left the country to wage a war of terror on behalf of a terrorist state.
With the Islamic State facing imminent collapse in Syria and Iraq, the group is calling upon its female supporters to wage Jihad warfare against the ‘un-believers.’
In October, the Islamic State issued a statement urging Muslim women to wage Jihad. “Today, in the context of the war against the Islamic State, it has become necessary for female Muslims to fulfil their duties on all fronts in supporting the mujahedeen in this battle,” an Arabic language newspaper run by the Islamic State said. Women should “prepare themselves to defend their religion by sacrificing themselves by Allah,” the Islamist newspaper added.
UK Intelligence services have also confirmed Islamic State’s intention of using female Jihadis to stage terrorist attacks on Western soil.
Despite Islamic Sharia law holding women inferior to men in every aspect, Islamists groups apparently have no problem using Jihadi women as evil foot soldiers in their campaign of terror against the West.
