Kiss frontman Gene Simmons isn’t your typical Hollywood celebrity writhing in agony over the election of Donald Trump. In fact, the Demon’s advice is for celebrities to get back to entertaining people and keep their political opinions to themselves.

Appearing on Fox Business, Simmons said:

“Everybody should just take a big deep breath. Why anybody… would care what a celebrity thinks or otherwise is the height of foolishness. I mean, America has finally come to the edges and the brink of insanity where some people might even consider that [it’s] a good idea for people living in Malibu to decide our foreign policy. I’m not one of those.

“I think celebrities should basically shut their pie hole and do what they do best: act, sing, tap-dance, juggle balls, and do all that kind of stuff. And then do what an informed citizen does: draw the curtain, vote your conscience, go in there and vote.”

Finalizing his thoughts, Simmons added, “Here we are, President-elect Trump is the president. You can like it, you can don’t like it. He’s the new president, that’s the end of the story.”

Simmons went on to praise the wisdom of the Founding Fathers in creating the Electoral College and for creating the concept, “of the people, for the people, by the people.” It’s there to circumvent all sorts of issues including the popular vote, he added.

Like Trump, Simmons is a businessman and is responsible for employing thousands of people whether through companies or while on tour with Kiss. He’s also a very charitable person and is a proud supporter of the U.S. military. Simmons’ latest endeavor, Rock and Brews restaurant chain, is celebrating veterans at its newest location opening on Tuesday.
