Writing to all 21 presidential candidates currently running against one another for a spot in the 2016 election, Franklin Graham asks them to put forth their ideas in honest and civil discourse rather than "petty squabbling" and attacks.
"Our nation is in dire need of real leadership," he wrote on Facebook. "If civility and honesty are not brought back into the picture, I think we will eventually destroy not only each other, but our nation."
Graham implored the candidates to not fall for the media's attempts "to stir up conflict" and instead "take the high road" and tell America their detailed plans for the future of the nation. By doing so, the integrity and honor of the "highest office in the land" is maintained, he stated.
