CNN’s Don Lemon may be an opinion show host, but one would think he is still obligated to at least feign a modicum of neutrality during his news reports. And, the most important reports of the week concern Susan Rice's culpability in unmasking Trump officials swept up in surveillance. Regardless of one's political leanings, everyone should agree that Rice's actions are highly consequential and worthy of scrutiny.
But who are we kidding? This is CNN and Don Lemon has refused, outright, to cover the Rice reports.
After blasting President Trump for "trying to make a lie true" (regarding his claims that Obama ordered surveillance of Trump Tower), Lemon said he would not "aid and abet people who are trying to misinform" with "diversions."
“Let us be very clear about this. There is no evidence whatsoever that the Trump team… was spied on illegally. There is no evidence that backs up the president’s original claim. And on this program tonight, we will not insult your intelligence by pretending otherwise, nor will we aid and abet the people who are trying to misinform you, the American people, by creating a diversion.”
Pretty rich coming from the number one source of Fake News.
