D.L. Hughley: ‘The Only Place Racism Doesn’t Exist is Fox News’

“A lot of people on this network have never seen a black man.”

Actor/comedian D.L. Hughley appeared on The Kelly File with Megyn Kelly to talk about the recent controversies surrounding the police shooting of two black men. Hughley argued with Kelly saying, "the only place racism doesn't exist is Fox News."

Hughley argued that she was “willing to give [the officer involved] a presumption of innocence I’m not.”

Kelly responded, “the law gives him the presumption of innocence.”

The two also argued about the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson. Hughley insisted the facts of the case were unknown, while Kelly pointed out that Michael Brown tried to grab the gun of a police officer and shoot him. Hughley said that had not been proven, but Kelly corrected him responding that Eric Holder's Justice Department exonerated the officer and determined that the "hands up, don't shoot" claim was a lie.

Hughley reiterated that “The only place racism doesn’t exist is Fox News and the police department,” he said. “That’s absolutely true.”

Kelly responded, saying the accusation was “insulting” to the millions of people who watch FNC. But Hughley said he’s “insulted by the things I hear on this network — so we’re even.”

“I couldn’t care less about insulting people who insult me on a daily basis,” he said, adding that “a lot of people on this network have never seen a black man.”
