Brunell Donald-Kyei spent over 20 years voting for the Democratic Party. In 2008 and 2012, she was an avid Barack Obama fan and bought into his promise of hope and change hook, line, and sinker. But now, Donald-Kwei has gone all-in for Donald Trump. So much so, she became the vice-chair of Diversity Outreach at the National Diversity Coalition for Trump.
Donald-Kyei said she became disillusioned with Obama after “Yes, we can” became “No, we didn’t.” She appeared on Chicago’s WGN News just after the first presidential debate between Trump and Hillary Clinton to explain her change of heart. As expected, the anchors were surprised by what they heard.
It doesn’t take long to learn that Donald-Kyei is fed up with the black/white issue that is suffocating the country as well as the blinders the Left wears regarding illegal immigration and Islamic terrorism. Right out of the gate, she said:
“When ISIS straps on their bombs, they don’t say, ‘Hey, let the black person walk by, let the Hispanic walk by’ and then blow the white guy up. No! They say, ‘I’m going to blow up Americans.’”
Donald-Kyei quieted the anchors after their next question framed around Trump’s comments about Muslims and Hispanics:
“Legal immigrants are tired of fighting illegal immigrants for jobs just like Americans are tired of fighting illegal immigrants for jobs. Every good Muslim — I don’t know one good Muslim who has a problem with Donald Trump saying ‘radical Islamic terrorist’ because they are sick and tired of the stain that comes on their religion when you have this minority, this few, that’s ruining it all for the entire religion.
“That’s the same thing with black people. All black people aren’t bad, we all work, we do what we are supposed to do, but you have pockets in our communities that are shooting people. Right here in Chicago, 3,600 dead in the black community. So, we have got to be concerned about one another and what Donald Trump is saying is, ‘Look, I want to be the president of the United States. I don’t want to be the president of black America, [or] white America -- [just] America.'”
The hosts then asked if she supports stop and frisk and as someone who works in the court system every day, Donald-Kyei said absolutely because drugs and guns are regularly found on her clients.
Donald-Kyei continued her full-throated defense of Trump:
“Best line of the debate: ‘Democrats care about the inner city when it’s election time. After election time, what do you get? Zero.’ What was [Hillary’s] response? Quiet. Why? Because that is the truth. He told the unadulterated truth and even though people don’t want to hear the truth — the truth is bitter — but we have to swallow it.
“The Democratic Party, I’ve voted for over 20 years of my life. I voted for Barack Obama when he said he was going to bring hope and change and ‘Yes, we can’ and no, we didn’t. The jobs didn’t come, the better schools didn’t come, the investment in our communities did not come, national security — out borders are open. We’re not safe. We’re not safe. And we’ve got to stop thinking as black and white and purple and Arab, we’ve got to start thinking as Americans. And that’s what Donald Trump is saying, ‘We’re Americans. America first.’”
In a recent Breitbart interview, Donald-Kyei scourged the media for its inherent bias, saying it scared her to death to learn it picked one side over the other. She said if journalists acted like this during early America, “black people would still be slaves:”
“Imagine if, during slavery, and during the civil rights movement, and during the times when our country, the Framers, were coming about, thinking they were going to make our country free. Imagine if the journalists only told one side of the story. We would still be slaves. Black people would still be slaves, if journalists, if people were not neutral, and didn’t just tell the news the way it was.
“And so that’s when you know our country is in trouble. When you have journalists, who are supposed to be neutral, who are supposed to be sort of the voice of the people, who are the voice of the elitists, of the establishment, of the people who want to continue to control the 99 percent of us – that scared me to death, when I realized that our media is actually picking a side.
“That’s not your job! Your job is to report the news, report what each candidate is doing, not skew everything, turn everything around on one candidate because one of your donors is the seventh-biggest donor to Hillary Clinton. It’s just too much.”
Somebody get this lady a podium and a lapel pin and get her up on the debate stage, stat!
