Dem Rep: Obama Didn't Really Lie About Insurance

"If you like your 'decent' insurance…you can keep it."

In a blatant attempt at revisionist history, Congressman Keith Ellison made a startling rewrite of Obama's now infamous lie - "If you like your plan, you can keep it." - on ABC's This Week with George Stephanopoulos.

Even though he may have said, 'If you like your decent insurance, your insurance that works, then you can keep it.'

Except the president never said that. Then Ellison further rewrote history in the form of an apology that Obama also never said:

If you misunderstood what I was trying to say, I'm sorry about that.

The congressman said Obama's apology shows "integrity." Democrats are so desperate for this health care overhaul to work that they are apparently willing to lie in order to "help Americans all over this country." Because, as they say, good intentions count.
