President Obama's schedule today includes a number of notable items: He'll be participating in a DNC roundtable in Seattle, Washington; he's speaking at a fundraiser for Patty Murray; he then departs for San Francisco for another private fundraiser roundtable on Saturday; oh, and he's even managed to squeeze in some time for the victims and families of the Umpqua Community College shooting in Roseburg, Oregon.
The shooting took place on October 1, 2015. In the time since that terrible day, the President has not visited the area, nor has he had any of the victims or their families to the White House, despite many widespread calls for the President to invite Chris Mintz, who risked his life to give others time to escape. Maybe if he'd built a "clock"...
The President will be visiting today, but not one to waste a trip, he'll also be doing fundraisers as he goes. In fact, that is the actual reason for the trip, with the Murray fundraiser on the books since at least early September.
The bullets in Chris Mintz's body could not be reached for comment.
