Overshadowed by the mini-dustup between Fox News host Megyn Kelly and Republican senator and presidential hopeful Ted Cruz was his discussion on The Kelly File of a major new push against Planned Parenthood.

On Tuesday, Cruz hosted a conference call with "over 100,000 pastors nationwide," he told Kelly. The focus of the call was the ongoing horror of the revelations coming from the undercover videos of Planned Parenthood engaging in the sale of aborted baby body parts.

"On the very first day that I am sworn into office I will direct the Department of Justice to open an investigation into Planned Parenthood and to prosecute any and all criminal violations by that organization. These videos are horrifying," Cruz said. "We need to defund Planned Parenthood."

"All of it?" Kelly asked.

"Every penny," Cruz said.

Cruz rejected the idea that Planned Parenthood should continue to get government money for other activities telling Kelly that the law doesn't work that way. In the past Cruz has called for the funding currently going to Planned Parenthood for other, non-abortion services, to be directed to other community health providers.
