An Ohio man has been indicted for trying kill Speaker of the House John Boehner.

According to court documents Michael Hoyt was a bartender at Wetherington Country Club in West Chester, Ohio for five and half years before being fired in October 2014. Speaker Boehner is a member at that club and according to court documents Hoyt had allegedly served Boehner many times.

Court documents reveal that Hoyt suffers from mental illness and was treated for psychotic episodes two years before the incident. He was also allegedly taking psychotrophic medication but stopped taking the medicine after six months.

The documents also say that Hoyt believed Boehner was "mean" to him and that the Speaker was responsible for the Ebola virus.

Court documents state that Hoyt's boss had been aware of his previous treatment. After he was fired from his job at the country club, Hoyt claimed he began hearing voices from the devil from the radio in his car and at his home. The voices, he said, were telling him that John Boehner was evil. Hoyt called 911 last October 29 and told a Deer Park police officer that he needed to kill John Boehner.

Hoyt denied any actual intent to hurt Boehner when police questioned him. The criminal complaint says Hoyt had several weapons in his possession including a .380 auto, knives and an ax.

The grand jury indicted Hoyt on January 7th.
