I hope you didn't spend Thanksgiving being grateful, because that would just have been wrong, at least according to the scolds at SUNY Albany. Campus Reform reports that they wanted to make sure you know you're not actually thankful for friends, family, and the opportunity to get an education in a free country - you're actually celebrating genocide. 

The event, originally called "NO THANKSGIVING," then changed to "THANKS/FRIENDSGIVING," was held by the C.H.A.R.G.E Peer Education Program. Stick with me, because this is one of the most unwieldily acronyms you will ever come across.

For real. The event was, not surprisingly, "sparsely attended," according to Campus Reform, which was run by SUNY Albany senior and C.H.A.R.G.E. member Bibi Chaterateach. She told Campus Reform that "Thanksgiving is a day of mourning" for native Americans. The event also shared an article explaining that Thanksgiving is a celebration of genocide. Maybe these folks should watch the Prager U video on the first Thanksgiving and see what it is really all about and lighten up a little bit, because there are reasons nobody is coming to your events. 

As for me, I'm thankful to have gotten through college before complete madness took over.
