At the GOP primary debate on Thursday, Chris Christie took several shots at Hillary Clinton, as did other candidates. Christie had a great line when he promised to prosecute the case against Hillary for President.
"I know why the Republican party will want to take a chance on me. Because they know that Hillary Clinton will never be prosecuted by this Justice Department, and they're going to want to put a former federal prosecutor on the stage to prosecute her next September. And there is no one on this stage better prepared to prosecute the case against Hillary Clinton than I am. I will be ready, I take her on, and when I take her on I guarantee one thing, she will never get within ten miles of the White House.
"The days for the Clintons in public housing are over."
It may not be the prosecution that Republicans want, but it also may be the only one they'll get.
Christie wasn't the only candidate taking shots at Hillary's potential criminality. It was rich ground for Carly Fiorina as well, and for another great line of the night from Marco Rubio, who suggested one of her first acts in office might be to pardon herself.
