Adding to the list of people joining the kneeling protests are two black Chicago police officers who posed for a picture with a woman while raising Black Power fists. Making political statements while in uniform is against department policy and now the unnamed officers face disciplinary action.

The activist in the picture, Aleta Clark, posted the photo to Instagram and captioned it: “That moment when you walk into the police station and ask the men of color are they against police brutality and racism, and they say 'yes.'" Clark said the officers agreed to kneel in support of Colin Kaepernick’s national anthem protest.

The Chicago Police Department responded:

We are aware of the photo, and we will address it in the same way we have handled previous incidents in which officers have made political statements while in uniform, with a reprimand and a reminder of department policies.

Clark sent out another message in support of the officers now facing whatever “a reprimand” means: “This is my message to those officers — I stand behind you. You showed us that even with a shield, even working for the police department, that you are still human and that you still recognize that racism still exists and that police brutality is real. And you stood against that."

No, they bowed their knee to an anti-American agenda that has no place behind the badge… or in Congress.
