A mere three months after purported comedienne Chelsea Handler declared that she was ending her ratings bomb of a Netflix talk show, cleverly titled Chelsea, in order to devote herself to political activism, she says she needs a break.

Fox News reports that Handler, 42, is burned out by "this toxic news cycle" and wants her "life back."

Of course, since Handler has no actual political insights to impart, her activism is limited to hurling ugly insults at President Trump and his administration on Twitter. Her crude body-shaming jabs at Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders' physical appearance, for example, proved that Handler has to substitute mean-spiritedness for intellectual firepower.

But even keyboard activism proved too draining for Handler, who had to take time off: "After a month of skiing and reflection," Handler wrote without irony, "I was able to break from this toxic news cycle."

Don't give up on her, though; she says she still intends to keep up with the news by watching her "favorite" news show, hosted by MSNBC's Joy Reid:

"I will still stay informed, and watch my favorite news shows @JoyAnnReid but I will no longer go to sleep or wake up with to the news. I want my life back."

This is the same Joy Reid whose Progressive bias has become increasingly blatant, even for MSNBC, and who has been the subject of various controversies -- perhaps most notably her recent smearing of National Review columnist David French. In commenting on the false nuclear attack alarm that occurred in Hawaii recently, French had suggested that a nuclear strike would "devastate central Honolulu but leave many suburbs intact."

Reid twisted this to accuse French of arguing that a nuclear attack would kill mostly inner-city Democrats and minorities, so conservatives could relax:

“We have truly entered the age of insanity when the conservative argument in favor of risking nuclear war is, ‘don't worry, it will only kill Democrats and minorities.’ Shame on you @DavidAFrench.”

Conservatives are always accused of getting all their news from the Fox News network, when in fact, shallow Hollywood leftists like Handler get all their talking points from propagandists like Reid, then claim that they are staying "informed."
