Chelsea Handler: ‘Happy Birthday, America!’ Now, Get Out There and Criticize Trump

“So, this Fourth of July, do your patriotic duty.”

Television host and so-called comedienne Chelsea Handler filmed an Independence Day message for liberal outlet ATTN. Though what she says is straight up constitutional, it’s clear it doesn’t come from a place of love for her country but as a license to be disrespectful. And as much as she seems to appreciate the right to free speech, Handler forgot to thank the sacrifices of American soldiers for defending that right.

The video and transcript is below. If you don’t recognize Handler, it’s because her breasts are actually covered up by a shirt.

“Hi, I’m Chelsea Handler, and I think Donald Trump is the bold, fearless leader this country needs. He’s not just the president, he’s my president.

“That’s what I’d have to say if I lived in a country that didn’t protect freedom of speech, like communist Russia or regular Russia. But I live in America, and while I don’t know all the specifics, I do know that I can call the president a whoopsie doodle shitsky mix. And I can call him a whoopsie doodle shitsky mix because of the First Amendment, and that whoopsie doodle shitsky mix can call me anything he wants, like a human Xanax pill dipped in vodka, or Elizabeth Banks’ older brother, or a soft four. Because he also has the freedom of speech, or in his case, the freedom of tweet. He can tweet whatever he wants, whenever he wants, about things he knows nothing about, like his job.

“He can even make things up, like ‘bigly’ or ‘covfefe’ or ‘I won the popular vote.’ You didn’t!

“Freedom of speech does, however, include the right to criticize your government, and that’s something that no one should take for granted. It’s important to exercise that freedom by speaking out when you disagree with the president and his administration. Even if you’re a member of his political party, or any party…

“So, if you disagree with me or the president, it’s your right to say something.

“This whoopsie doodle shitsky mix used to criticize the last president all the time. So, this Fourth of July, do your patriotic duty and speak out about the issues that matter to you.

“Happy birthday, America! Let’s just try and get through this together.”
