A security guard stationed at Chelsea Clinton's Manhattan book signing ordered a reporter from The Blaze to delete cellphone footage because he began asking a question about her mother's presidential campaign.

"Let me see that video," the guard, clad in black, can be heard saying. When reporter Josiah Ryan asked why, the man said, "It's against the law."

However, the footage, which was saved because Ryan quickly locked his iPhone, makes it clear that he identified himself as a reporter from The Blaze and politely began asking a question about Hillary Clinton's campaign. Chelsea, also politely, declined to talk politics at her book signing event, but added that she'd be happy to talk to him later.

Yet, the security detail had a different idea. He ordered Ryan to speak with police saying, "He can't record while he is here and he doesn't want to delete it." Chelsea's handlers intercepted Ryan and were more than accommodating, advising against politics at a children's book release while kids are present, but said he could follow up with them at another time.

It is unclear whether this is her private security, or if it was provided by Barnes and Noble. Ryan said Clinton's team was very nice and told the security guard not to take his property.

The just-published book is titled for kids, It's Your World: Get Informed, Get Inspired & Get Going. Chelsea explains that the book covers four areas: poverty, education/gender equality, health around world, and climate change/endangered species.

It does not, however, cover how to wipe electronic data or why the Clintons seem to come with a permanent delete button.
