There’s not much time left before America selects its next president and Hollywood celebrities are really starting to sweat the thought that Donald Trump could be the nation’s choice.
So, what do they do? They make a desperate and extremely vulgar plea for everyone to vote for Hillary Clinton, of course. Celebrities you’ve mostly never heard of and maybe barely recognize sing and curse their way through a song and accompanying video for Funny or Die. And like most of the others, it dies hard.
The song is titled “Holy Sh*t (You’ve Got to Vote)” and features such riveting lyrics as “holy f***ing sh*t you’ve got to vote” and others that call Donald Trump “an orange talking STD,” “a garbage fire,” “worst presidential candidate our country’s ever seen,” “human syphyllis,” and a “racist rocket.”
And what Trump comparison would be complete without mentioning Adolf Hitler?
Look, obviously only Hitler’s Hitler / No one does Hitler like Hitler
But break up Mein Kampf into tiny parts / and it reads like a Trump rant on Twitter
The song ends in an uncensored shout chorus of F-words and religious profanities to really hammer home that tolerant and caring Democratic message.
The song’s co-writer, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend star Rachel Bloom, delivers a message at the end of the video heavily mocking America’s constitutional right to vote however they want:
“So vote for Hillary. Cause what else are you gonna do, throw your vote away on a third party? I mean, I guess you technically could, it’s your right, but still, ugh!”
Other celebs include Elizabeth Banks, Mayim Bialik, Adam Scott, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, oh, and Moby.
We’re sure this protest song will be as effective as their careers.
