On CBS’ Face the Nation, host Bob Schieffer acknowledged that he was borrowing talking points from the White House to form the basis of his questions. “I have to tell you that the White House,” Schieffer said to Senate Minorty Leader Mitch McConell, “as late as last night, was telling me that one of the reasons for all these problems with this website is that it has been overwhelmed with people that want this insurance. And they're saying that they are enrolling people into this program and that, like all new programs, the glitches will have to be worked out.”

This line of questioning continued from Schieffer throughout the program. When Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said that Obamacare would collapse under its own weight, and that it would work to the Republicans’ advantage in 2014, Schieffer shot back, “I will just respond that the White House says it won't happen that way. I'm sorry, we're out of time. But I want to thank both Senators for being here this morning. Back in a minute with some more.”

Later, he added, "But let me just add one thing about Obamacare, which Senator Warner, as he was leaving, what he wanted to say and we just wanted -- we ran out of time -- he says, and the White House is saying the same thing -- that, despite all the glitches, despite all the bad publicity about this start, that when you look at what's happening at the state exchanges and you look across the country, that about a half million people have begun the process to enroll. Now, mind you, this thing is not very pretty, the way it's unfurled. But they are really wanting everybody behind that."
