Carly Fiorina: We've Become A Nation Of Rules Not A Nation Of Laws

The regulatory state.

Carly Fiorina has said over and over that we have to reduce the complexity of the tax code. Tonight she reiterated her plan to reduce the entire code to three pages. She also talked about regulations:

"We need to do a top to bottom review of every single regulation on the books, that hasn't been done in 50 years."

She also goes on to say that we "have to hold government officials accountable for their performance."

"We must take our government back," said the former HP CEO.

Reducing the regulatory state and the massive hurdles to governance, business, and individual prosperity that America has created with our enormous and burdensome, not to mention liberty-depriving rules, codes, regulations and red tape is something that doesn't get mentioned enough. One hopes debates like these serve to bring such issues to the forefront int he way the Trump campaign has made illegal immigration such an overarching issue.
