CA Dem: 'James Dobson Hijacked the Nat'l Day of Prayer'

Becoming "outraged" at Focus on the Family founder James Dobson calling Obama the "abortion president" at Thursday's National Day of Prayer event at the U.S. Capitol, Rep. Janice Hahn (D-CA) stormed out, wagging her finger as she headed for the door.

She immediately told the world her feelings through Twitter saying, "Outraged that Dr. James Dobson brought politics to #Natldayofprayer event." 



Rep. Hahn told Huffington Post that Dobson "hijacked" the event "to promote his own distorted political agenda." She said, "I stood up and I pointed my finger at Dr. Dobson and I said, 'This is inappropriate!' and walked out."

Hahn is the co-chair for the weekly congressional prayer breakfast. She tells Daily Breeze that during those weekly prayer sessions, politics are set aside in order to come together with those you do not agree with to pray for the country. But because of Dobson's comments, Hahn is considering writing him a personal letter. She added, "This was just such an affront to me personally and religiously, it was an affront to everything we are trying to do in Washington, D.C., to not bring politics into our congressional prayer (gatherings).”
