Bookmaker William Hill has halved the odds for a possible President George Clooney. The newly married movie star is rumored to have political ambitions and now that he has finally settled down.
“This follows hints made by family members that Clooney and new bride Amal have political ambitions,” the bookmaker said.
Clooney's odds aren't as good as those for Hillary Clinton, but they are getting better.
It places the odds at 20/1 for Mr. Clooney to join the race in 2016, although the actor is listed at 500/1 to win it. Hillary Rodham Clinton, at 5/4, is the “red hot favorite,” the bookmaker said.
“George Clooney is not just one of the most recognizable faces in the USA, but in the world, and if he did decide to run for president, he ticks a lot of boxes,” said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.
