'Bad Call': Bloomberg Apologizes For Photoshopping Hillary

Accused of deliberately making Hillary look bad

After being accused of deliberately doctoring an image of Hillary Clinton to make her look bad, Bloomberg has apologized, calling the incident a "bad call" that was simply a case of rushing out a promo.

Bloomberg Politics tweeted out a promo for a Clinton email scandal special report Tuesday featuring an obviously photoshopped image of Clinton, created by combining two separate shots: one of her head and one of her body.

After pushback online for what some thought was a politically motivated attempt to present Hillary in an unflattering light, Bloomberg tweeted an apology, saying the use of the doctored image was a "bad call":

A Bloomberg spokesperson explained that the image was simply created "to fit the parameters of the graphic," time constraints making it easier to simply photoshop the two images rather than find one that worked. In other words, like the star of their special report, they "opted for convenience" and got caught.
