A fired construction worker opened fire at his former place of work, but was stopped by an armed foreman before he could take anyone’s life.

Just before noon on May 1, the man who was let go from his construction job returned and began threatening the foreman before opening fire. The foreman who has a concealed handgun license returned fire and struck the gunman but was also hit.  Both men were sent to the hospital where the gunman is said to have a life threatening injury while the foreman is said to have a serious injury.  

Meanwhile, no other construction workers were injured, and seems to be an example of NRA's Wayne LaPierre’s words that “the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.”

This shooting stands in sharp contrast to the FedEx Georgia shooting that happened earlier this week where a gunman walked into a FedEx location and shot 6 people with three in critical condition before turning the gun on himself.  A “Gun Free Zone” sign was prominently displayed on the window of the store ensuring that the gunman would have no armed opposition.
