According to Far Left Watch, an Antifa student group at the University of Texas-Austin recently hosted a “Revolutionary Mental Health Program” that teaches tactics to recruit people with mental health issues so they can be “radicalized” and made into “active fighters.”
The group, known as the Revolutionary Student Front, said the idea was inspired by the German neo-Marxist group, the Socialist Patient’s Collective (SPK), which “attempted to re-frame ‘mental illness’ as a product of capitalist oppression and believed that the sick formed a revolutionary class of people who could be radicalized to join their cause.” The SPK, active in 1970 at the University of Heidelberg, Germany, created a program called “Turn Illness into a Weapon,” which the Austin Antifa group studied.
The group states in its manifesto that the cause of mental illness is capitalism:
The primary method of combating the symptoms of mental illness that we face under capitalism must be organizing those suffering to come into violent class conflict with the system that creates their illness.
The Revolutionary Student Front adds that some of its members suffer mental illness (as if we didn’t already know):
Orienting recruitment toward those suffering from qualitatively more intense mental illness, a population whose conditions in general serve as barriers to reaching the point of being continuous fighters (we say “in general” because many of the best organizers in the revolutionary movement and our organization also suffer from these conditions) does not accomplish the task of drawing from the most advanced sections of the people.
But at the core of this group is terrorism, and they’re not afraid to admit it:
To be an effective revolutionary, a skilled writer cannot devote themselves merely to writing—they must also learn to speak well, punch hard and shoot well, work hard, design propaganda, communicate well with others, and so on…
We will make no apologies for the necessary violence of our struggle and will spare no sacrifice for the battles to come because we are revolutionaries committed to the overthrow of capitalism and the establishment of a classless society. We live for the people, we fight for the people, and we die for the people. This is what it means to be a revolutionary and this is what we uphold from this point until the final dying breath of capitalism.
“With the information we have provided there should be zero doubt that the Revolutionary Student Front – Austin constitutes a legitimate security concern not only to the students of UT-Austin but to the general public as well,” Far Left Watch states.
Here are some images included in the group’s mental health program:
So, as the United States debates the problem of mental illness in this country as it relates to mass shooters, Antifa is actively recruiting the mentally ill with hopes of creating an army of Nikolas Cruz’s or Adam Lanza’s. It’s time the media talked about the real terrorist threat in America in Antifa.
