A poll released by Rasmussen Reports yesterday finds that 46% of likely presidential voters think George Stephanopoulos should be banned from covering the 2016 campaign. Stephanopoulos, a former Clinton operative and staffer of Bill Clinton, was exposed as donating $75,000 to the Clinton Foundation without disclosing it to his network or to the public.

Only one-third, 36%, are against the ban.

After the news broke last week that the ABC "news" man failed to disclose his involvement with the Clinton Foundation, Stephanopoulos voluntarily backed out of moderating any presidential debates. 

Republicans, in particular conservatives, are more likely to support banning Stephanopoulos from covering the campaign.

Not surprisingly the more conservative the person polled the more likely they were to support the ban. Republicans, 66%, unaffiliated voters, 45%, and Democrats, 30%, said Stephanopoulos should bow out from the campaign coverage that will include Hillary Clinton's run for the Oval Office.

The poll also finds that the scandal has hurt ABC News' credibility with 34% saying they are less likely to believe the network's reporting.
