Following Martin Bashir's resignation over his controversial comments suggesting former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin deserved to have her mouth defecated and urinated in, MSNBC has decided to fill his coveted 4 p.m. Eastern time-slot with Alex Wagner, moving on from her original broadcast at 12 p.m. Eastern.
Competition will be fierce as she will face-off against The Lead with Jake Tapper on CNN and Your World with Neil Cavuto on Fox News. MSNBC has yet to match Fox's ratings.
Along with MSNBC's Krystal Ball and Rachel Maddow, Wagner has been outspoken in her support of abortion and also believes the Second Amendment to the U.S Constitution should be repealed.
Though not official, rumor has it Ronan Farrow will be filling her now vacant 12 p.m. Eastern time-slot -- the same Ronan Farrow who called Thanksgiving a festival of genocide last November.
