Alec Baldwin flew into a rage, scuffled with a photographer and almost got arrested outside an East Hampton playground Sunday. Baldwin is still under court supervision following his May 13 arrest for riding his bicycle the wrong way on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan and mouthing off at cops who stopped him. He could have faced jail time if the photographer had decided to press charges.
According to the photographer, freelancer Matt Agudo, he was shooting the Baldwins from far away when Hilaria, Alec's wife, started screaming at him -- and before long, he claims, Alec Baldwin started pushing and shoving him. The actor grabbed his shirt, shoved him and tried to put him in a headlock.
According to the original TMZ story
When cops arrived at around noon, Agudo declined to press charges and instead accepted a handshake and apology from the hotheaded star, the fotog says.
TMZ also spoke with a close friend of the Baldwins ... who says the whole headlock claim is total BS. The friend also questioned the pap's credibility because he called Hilaria a "bitch" and a "whore" when she attempted to protect her child from the photog.
Apparently Agudo did not press charges because he didn't want the star to go to jail.
I didn’t want him to go to jail and be away from his daughter, I know he loves her a lot.
During a court hearing for the bicycle incident in May the judge told Baldwin to keep his nose clean for six months:
The judge then asked, “You were in ‘Search for Red October?’ ”
“The Hunt for Red October,” Baldwin corrected him on the title of the 1990 Cold War submarine flick.
“That was a good movie,” the judge said. After Baldwin’s refusal to apologize, the elderly jurist started treating the actor like a petulant child.
“Can you stay out of trouble, Alexander?” Delury said, using Baldwin’s real name.
“Sure, sure,” the actor responded.
“Be a good boy from now on,” the judge cautioned, before ruling that if Baldwin stayed out of trouble for six months, the charges would be dropped.
