Dan Pfeiffer, senior advisor to President Obama, sent out an e-mail via WhiteHouse.gov asking for citizens to offer policy suggestions to the president for consideration as Obama enters what he calls his "fourth quarter."

Calling it a "Citizens' Memo," Pfeiffer asks, "What do you want to see get done in the last two years?" There is a link to "Tell President Obama here" and "Add Your Voice."

Pfeiffer promises that this is not "just a one-issue, check-a-box question," making it seem as if it can be completely personalized. However, when the page launches to "add your voice," the topics are limited to the 16 suggested policies that are already a part of Obama's proposals.

Missions listed include making college more affordable, combating climate change, immigration reform, raising the minimum wage, equal pay for women, healthcare, expanding opportunity for disadvantaged youth, and a few others.

Once the link is clicked, you are asked to enter a response to tell why the particular issue is important to you and what you are willing to do "to make it happen." Then enter first and last name, an e-mail address and agree to one last step to take action -- volunteer, share information with others, or write a letter to the editor.

Ironically, the final plea from this White House petition is, "Don't go it alone" -- something not regularly practiced in the current administration.
