WATCH: Greatest Hits of Hillary's Iraq War Positions

Voted for war, against the troop surge, supported troop withdrawal

In lieu of the mainstream media doing its job, The Washington Free Beacon has helpfully provided a compilation of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's positions on the Iraq War, including her vote “with conviction” in favor of the war, her strong opposition to the ultimately successful troop surge in 2007, and her support of Obama’s disastrous troop withdrawal in 2011.

WFB's David Rutz provides a quick summary of her various positions and the results:

Hillary Clinton voted to authorize force against Iraq in 2002 before saying later it was a mistake. She opposed the troop surge there in 2007 that turned out to be a huge success. As Secretary of State, she publicly supported President Obama’s troop withdrawal from Iraq at the end of 2011, which left a vacuum that paved the way for the Islamic State terrorist group’s rampage across Iraq and Syria.

Rutz also notes that Hillary is the only declared candidate who actually voted for the war in Iraq, but for some reason the media seems committed to nailing down the (Republican) candidates' on whether or not they would have hypothetically endorsed it (like Hillary). Curious.
