WaPo Praises Hillary’s Restraint After Recent Terror: ‘Acted Like A Leader

That’s called weakness.

The editorial board over at The Washington Post has pledged its full allegiance to its dear leader Hillary Clinton for how calmly she responded after the spate of recent terror attacks over the weekend. However, the editors condemned Donald Trump for calling a spade a spade.

It took just 12 hours for Islamic jihadists to rain terror on citizens in Minnesota, New York, and New Jersey with knives and homemade bombs. Thankfully, no innocent lives were lost, but that’s the exception, not the norm. We live in a time when jihad is on the rise as ISIS spreads its holy war and “refugees” invade the West. Forgive us for being confident that when an explosion or knifing spree is reported, our first thought is terrorism, because that’s the norm, not the exception. That’s the way Trump saw it, and as it turns out, he was right.

After landing in Colorado Springs just as news broke that an “explosion” had occurred in New York City, Trump said a bomb had gone off and used that as a soundboard to say how he plans on getting tough on terrorism. With WaPo preferring to take the eggshell route, its editors were miffed that Trump would dare jump to conclusions before a full investigation was underway. But as TruthRevolt pointed out on Monday, Clinton also called the incident a “bombing,” but that was edited out in the mainstream media’s coverage.

Despite Trump’s “lucky guess,” the WaPo chided his approach:

In commending law enforcement and counterterrorism officials, President Obama on Monday stressed the importance of letting them do their jobs so as to prevent false reports or incomplete information. The obvious need for such prudence sadly — but not surprisingly — did not seem to matter to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. Before there was any determination of the Chelsea explosion’s source, Mr. Trump nonetheless proclaimed at a campaign stop in Colorado that a bomb had gone off. He may have guessed right, but that would be a reckless way to do business in the Oval Office.

Equally disturbing was Mr. Trump’s bombast about how he would approach terrorism — “knock the hell out of ’em” — and maybe use racial profiling.

Again, Trump never said “racial” profiling, as TruthRevolt also noted. However, those are inconvenient facts that WaPo and others are willfully omitting from its coverage. Obviously, the MSM only likes the facts they like, as their fearless leader does:

By contrast, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton wanted to know the facts, and called for the support of first responders and prayers for the injured. It was the kind of calm and caution one naturally expects from a leader.

That’s not “calm and caution,” that’s weakness. Imagine for a second President George W. Bush standing atop the smoldering World Trade Center ruble, just days after its collapse on 9/11, megaphone in hand and shouting, “We can’t rush to judgment. We need all the facts before determining what has happened here.”

That doesn't sound very presidential. But saying the people responsible for knocking these buildings down would soon hear from America (i.e., “knock the hell out of ‘em”) does.

The Freedom Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Therefore we do not endorse political candidates either in primary or general elections. However, as defenders of America’s social contract, we insist that the rules laid down by both parties at the outset of campaigns be respected, and that the results be decided by free elections. We will oppose any attempt to rig the system and deny voters of either party their constitutional right to elect candidates of their choice.
