It's an opportune time to rewatch a video featuring noted conservative lecturer, author, and journalist Brigitte Gabriel completely destroy a Muslim-American woman's argument that there is a "peaceful Muslim majority," reminding her that's irrelevant since hundreds of millions of non-peaceful Muslims want to eliminate Western Civilization.
One of them just went on a terror spree in New York City and New Jersey over the weekend, setting off two bombs and planting several other pressure cooker bombs around those locations. The suspect, Ahmad Khan Rahami, 28, was on the run but is now in police custody after a shootout in Linden, NJ. According to Fox News, the man was spotted by officers walking down the street with a gun. Rahami opened fire on the police cruiser and ran away. Two police officers were injured, including one with a head injury, according to reports. The suspect was also injured and is being questioned by investigators.
Rahami's blast hurt 29 people in New York's Chelsea neighborhood Saturday night. He is described as a naturalized U.S. citizen from Afghanistan. NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio was hesitant from the beginning to claim the incident as an act of terror, but NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo said it was "obviously an act of terrorism" and believes Rahami was motivated by foreign sources.
De Blasio's unwillingness to blame Islamic terrorism is a prime example of putting political correctness above reality and is usually done because one is afraid to paint all Muslims as bad. But as Gabriel reminds in the above video, the argument that there exists a "peaceful majority of Muslims" is irrelevant when it comes to terrorism.
Seventy-five percent of the over 1 billion Muslims around the world are considered peaceful, says Gabriel, but it's the remaining 15-25% that are concerning. That means there are between 180 million to 300 million -- nearly the population of the United States -- Muslims who are radicalized and "dedicated to the destruction of Western Civilization."
Gabriel recalls that most Germans were peaceful during World War II, but with 60 million deaths because of the actions of the Nazis, the peaceful majority was irrelevant. Twenty-million were killed in Russia, she added, even though a majority of Russians were peaceful. And, too, mass deaths in China or Japan were not perpetrated by the peaceful majority, but the violent minority. On 9/11, 2.3 million Arab-Muslims were living in our country. It took only 19 radical hijackers to wreak havoc on America and murder nearly 3,000 of our fellow citizens.
"The peaceful majority were irrelevant," Gabriel repeated.
Political correctness is just as dangerous as terrorism because if fails to identify our common enemy. "It is time we take political correctness and throw it in the garbage where it belongs and start calling a spade a spade," as Gabriel stated.

Brigitte Gabriel, a Lebanese Christian, was ten when her home was destroyed during the Lebanese Civil War by Islamic militants. Wounded by shrapnel in the attack, she and her parents had to live underground for seven years in all that remained, an 8-by-10-foot bomb shelter. They had a small kerosene heater, no sanitary systems, no electricity or running water, and little food. For water, she had to crawl in a roadside ditch to a spring so she wouldn't get hit by Muslim snipers. In the spring of 1978, a bomb explosion forced Gabriel and her parents to be trapped in the shelter for two days, where they were eventually rescued by three Christian militia fighters.
