VIDEO: Kentucky QB Gets Sucker-Punched By Rival

Buddies do nothing

A newly released security video that is part of an investigation into a Jan. 25 fight between football players from rival universities shows Kentucky QB Drew Barker getting viciously sucker-punched after a bar brawl.

According to reports, a fight between football players from Eastern Kentucky and the University of Kentucky broke out at Jerzee’s Cocktail Lounge & Dance Club in Richmond on Jan. 25 (video below). The fight included Kentucky players Drew Barker, Dorian Baker, and Tymere Dubose and EKU offensive lineman Colton Scurry, who suffered multiple facial fractures.

A few hours later, a security camera at Tellford Hall caught Parker getting sucker-punched by Patrick Graffree (who transferred to EKU from Kentucky in 2013).

A Madison County grand jury announced in early April that despite the injuries to Scurry they would not indict the Kentucky players, as the report from the Richmond Police described Scurry as the "primary aggressor in the altercation." The Inquistor reports:

Fortunately, according to the police report, Drew Barker’s bar fight video “made it apparent… that Mr. Scurry was the primary aggressor in the altercation. He entered into a crowd willingly (without any physical altercation) and threw a punch at an unidentified male.” The bar fight apparently started after an argument with a woman, where Scurry is “visibly upset at the female and was yelling or speaking passionately at/to her.” But when he went after the Kentucky football players he ended up losing badly.

“Barker stated during the altercation he reached over the top of Baker and struck Scurry two times,” the report said, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader. Barker said after that Baker began giving uppercut strikes to Scurry. “Mr. Scurry stated he began falling forward and was grabbed by three to four subjects. Mr. Scurry stated these subjects began hitting him numerous times and at one point he was hit on the head and lost consciousness.”
