Trump on FNC Debate: They're All Sleeping

"Isn't this better than the debate that's going on?"

Presidential candidate Donald Trump held an alternative charity event during Fox News Channel's GOP presidential debate last night and took some time to poke at his opponents on the stage.

"Isn't this better than the debate that's going on?" he said. "Right? They're all sleeping. They're all sleeping. Everybody."

Trump's alternative event was a charity event for veterans, although questions surround who exactly is benefiting from the fundraiser.

Controversy erupted around the debate after Trump wanted the news network to pull host Megyn Kelly as one of the moderators because she wasn't "fair" to Trump. He taunted Kelly on twitter and the network also poked at Trump.

The network released a statement following Trump's withdrawal"We learned from a secret back channel that the Ayatollah and Putin both intend to treat Donald Trump unfairly when they meet with him if he becomes president," Fox said. "A nefarious source tells us that Trump has his own secret plan to replace the Cabinet with his Twitter followers to see if he should even go to those meetings."

Will Trump's strategy backfire at the Iowa Caucuses next week? Stay tuned.
