Trump Demands GOP Repeal and Replace Obamacare

"We are agreed. We need to break the logjam.”

Following the Senate's failure to pass their draft bill for the AHCA this week, President Trump now demands the GOP repeal and replace Obamacare, much to the liking of several congressional conservatives who may have clashed with the president previously.

“If Republican Senators are unable to pass what they are working on now, they should immediately REPEAL, and then REPLACE at a later date!” Trump wrote in an early morning Twitter post.

U.S. Senator Ben Sasse agreed with him.

“Sounds great, Pres. @realDonaldTrump,” Sasse wrote in a response on Twitter. “We are agreed. We need to break the logjam.”

President Trump made this announcement after speaking with Senator Rand Paul.

The drafted AHCA bill had trouble coming to a vote due to what many conservatives felt was a softening of Obamacare. This announcement gives promise that the two forces are coming to an agreement.
