Trump to Bush: Speak English in America

Hits back at Bush's Spanish slam on Trump

A day after Jeb Bush told Spanish-speaking media in Florida, "El hombre no es conservador" -- the man is not conservative -- with regards to Donald Trump, Trump hit back.

In an interview with Breitbart News, Trump said Jeb shouldn't be speaking Spanish:

"I like Jeb," Trump said. "He’s a nice man. But he should really set the example by speaking English while in the United States."

Bush is fluent in English and Spanish and was responding to a question put to him in Spanish when he made the remarks:

"Besides, he tries to personalize everything. If you're not totally in agreement with him you're an idiot, or stupid, or don't have energy, or blah blah blah," Bush added.

Trump wasted no time in hitting back, telling Breitbart that Bush was no conservative but that, like Reagan, Trump himself will go down as one of the conservative greats after running the White House for two terms:

"You know, Ronald Reagan wasn’t a conservative," Trump said. "He became a great conservative. By the time I’m finished, people will say I’m a great conservative. By the time I’m finished with the presidency, after eight years of the presidency, people will say I’m a great conservative—far greater than Jeb would ever have the ability to be."

Trump also took a shot at Marco Rubio in the interview, calling the Senator from Florida "Bush's plebe."
