Winning the presidency without Florida is hard, as we all learned back in 2000, so Hillary Clinton's campaign should be concerned about the latest poll from Florida Atlantic University. It shows that in head-to-head match-ups, Clinton would lose Florida to Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush and even Scott Walker who dropped out of the race as it was being conducted.
The poll shows Ben Carson would beat Hillary by the widest margin in the Sunshine State, 51.7% saying they would vote for Carson compared to 39.5% for Clinton. She would also lose to Rubio (50.4% to 42.2%), Bush (49.1% to 40.9%), Trump (45.9% to 44.9%) and Walker (45.5% to 45.4%). The poll shows Clinton beating Mike Huckabee and Rand Paul in potential match-ups among Florida voters.
As for primary results, Trump continues to lead among Florida Republicans with 31.5% of the vote, Rubio has moved past Bush into second spot with 19.2% of the vote and Bush, the former state governor, is in third among Florida Republicans with 11.3% of the vote.
Clinton leads among Democrats with 59.5% support of Florida Democrats; Joe Biden is second with 15.9%, and Bernie Sanders third with 15.2%.
