Conservatives don't have a lot of choices when it comes to television that reflects their values, and ABC's sitcom Last Man Standing was kind of, well, the last man standing. So of course it was canceled. The network claimed the show wasn't canceled for political reasons, but the public didn't really buy that, considering the show's high ratings. Also not buying it? The show's star, Tim Allen, who said he was “stunned and blindsided” by the show's abrupt cancellation.

Allen joined fellow comedian Norm MacDonald on Norm MacDonald Live on Tuesday and shared his frustration about Hollywood. “There's nothing more dangerous to me,” he said, “especially in this climate, than a funny, likeble conservative.”

Allen, who is a conservative in real life like his character, has spoken about how difficult it is to be open about his values in Hollywood. On The Jimmy Kimmel Show in March, he said

“I’m not kidding. You gotta be real careful around here. You get beat up if you don’t believe what everybody believes. This is like ‘30s Germany. I don’t know what happened. If you’re not part of the group, ‘You know what we believe is right,’ I go, ‘Well, I might have a problem with that.’”

If he's right, his network had a problem with it, too.
