French Prime Minister Manuel Valls -- the same man who said that France would simply have to "learn to live with terrorism" -- is showing us his spine of steel again. 

During an interview with two European news outlets Sunday, Valls admitted to the public that "this week at least two attacks were foiled" as 15,000 radicals -- or people soon to become radicals -- are currently on French police and intelligence community watchlists. 

Last week France dissolved an ISIS-directed terror cell plotting to attack a Paris railway station, according to Reuters.

"There will be new attacks, there will be innocent victims," said Valls who added it was his "role to tell this truth to the French people." 

Part of that "truth" includes telling said French people that they are sitting ducks to the slaughter because he will do nothing serious to protect them. Despite the carnage tearing through his country, Valls is still rejecting former French president Nicolas Sarkozy's proposal to get tough on terror by creating specialized detention facilities for those suspected of radical ties.

In an interview newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche (JDD), Sarkozy said France needed to get tough on militants by creating special courts and detention facilities to boost security.

Sarkozy proposed to systematically place French citizens suspected of having militant links in special detention facilities.

"And don't tell me it would be Guantanamo," Sarkozy said in the interview. "In France, any administrative confinement is subject to subsequent control by a judge."

Sounds good to us -- but apparently not to Valls, who seems a tad more concerned about the "rights" of radicals. The French PM said Sarkozy is "wrong about trying to wring the neck of the rule of law."

It bears repeating: this is the same man who recently told the French people they would simply have to "learn to live with terrorism."
