Social Justice Warriors Slam Bette Midler's 'Transphobic' Tweet

"Will she go back to being Bruce?"

The leftist social justice warriors ate one of their own this weekend when they harangued actress/singer Bette Midler for making a wisecrack about Caitlyn Jenner formerly known as Bruce.

With her "transphobic" tweet now deleted as of Monday, the largely leftwing Midler has been taking a walk of shame through the halls of social media to apologize for the most rudimentary of quips regarding the self-identified "transgender" Olympic gold medalist.

Though Midler has largely been a gay community icon, the tweet deeply upset her base of left-wing sycophants and they drew blood...Fast.

HuffPost Gay Voices got in on the action too, with transgender activist Alexandra Billings penning this self-pitying diatribe:

I cannot take my Transness off, Ms. Midler, and it has taken me 54 years of survival through centuries of violence and suicides, to finally make friends with my past. And I will not be the butt of your jokes simply because you cannot take the time to write from a place of truth, instead of a place of fear.

That "place of fear" immediately prompted Midler to give what some have considered a half-hearted apology:

Another win for the Commissars of Social Justice. Another loss for sanity and truth.
