In this Saturday Night Live skit from last Saturday, game show contestants discover to their horror that their challenge is to draw the Muslim prophet Muhammad for a $1 million prize. Suddenly the money isn't so tempting.

Although the skit manages to avoid actually depicting Muhammad, which would certainly have taken the show into new territory of edginess, kudos to SNL for at least daring to address the issue. It highlights, for a pop culture audience, the courage it takes to buck the Islamic ban on images of Muhammad and Allah.
