You may remember when Lena Dunham said that she was losing weight because of Donald Trump? About her trimmer figure, she told Howard Stern:
“Donald Trump became president and I stopped being able to eat food… Everyone’s been asking like, ‘What have you been doing?’ And I’m like, ‘Try soul-crushing pain and devastation and hopelessness, and you, too, will lose weight.'”
Now, the President-induced "soul crushing pain" is having the opposite effect on 74-year-old Barbra Streisand. The singer recently tweeted two messages to her fans that suggest that Trump is making her replace her liquid breakfasts with syrup-covered pancakes:
And then:
The former Hillary Clinton advocate wrote, "Donald Trump is making me gain weight. I start the day with liquids, but after the morning news, I eat pancakes smothered in maple syrup!" and then, "Trump just accused Obama of tapping his phones. Seriously crazy times. Time for more pancakes."
The singer/actress was referring to the charge that Trump made over the weekend about President Obama tapping his phones at Trump Tower during the campaign. Former Obama spokesman Kevin Lewis said it didn't happen. “A cardinal rule of the Obama Administration was that no White House official ever interfered with any independent investigation led by the Department of Justice. As part of that practice, neither President Obama nor any White House official ever ordered surveillance on any U.S. citizen.”
Regardless, for their own health, America's celebrity snowflakes need to figure out how to handle Donald Trump for the next four-to-eight years. Our advice to Streisand? Lay off the carbs and President Trump's Twitter feed. Your waistline will thank you for it.
