The UCLA undergraduate student government recently held a public forum as to whether or not the university should divest from companies doing business with Israel.

TruthRevolt founder, Ben Shapiro attended the meeting and, in a rousing 2-minute speech that shook the anti-Israel crowd to its core, he made a powerful case against divestment.

Appearing on The Kelly File, Shapiro said:

“Unfortunately, the divestment effort from Israel is obviously, and indisputably, an anti-Jewish effort.  It is an anti-sematic effort, its an effort on the part of Jew-haters everywhere because to single Israel out as the source of the problems in the Middle East, to single Israel out as a human rights violator in a region where gays are routinely hung in Iran, where women are routinely prevented from getting an education, where the only place with any sort of religious diversity is Israel, and where all the surrounding countries, are free of Jews, it is an absurd statement. And a moral reversal.”

When asked why there is so much focus on divestiture specifically with regards to Israel, he answers,

“Because Jew hatred is still the last politically correct hatred in America”

Finishing the segment, Shapiro lamented the lack of passion among conservatives.

“There were people crying, one video of a woman who was crying hysterically, almost uncontrollably.  And I have to say this.  There are people making fun of this particular woman. I wish there were that level of passion on the side of protecting western civilization and western values as there was on attacking western civilization and western values.”
