MSNBC host Ed Schultz dreams of a day when the government pays for healthcare and campaigns. During Tuesday's 'Ask Ed Live' segment the host told a viewer he would love a single payer system for campaigns. Responding to a question from a fan asking, "Would a single payer campaign contribution system work better than what we have now?" Schultz responded,

Uh, Al are you talkin' about campaign finance reform or are you talkin' about healthcare? If you're talking about healthcare obviously single payer system would be heck of a lot better for the country across the board! If you're talkin' about campaign contributions and public financing of campaigns, wow, we can only dream about that!
