Bernie Sanders supporter and comedian Sarah Silverman delivered a speech during prime time at the Democrat National Convention and had some harsh words for the hardcore Bernie supporters present.

“Hillary is our Democratic nominee, and I will proudly vote for her,” she continued. “She’s like the only person ever to be overqualified for the job of president.”

As a Sanders supporter,  she said, I “will vote for Hillary with gusto."

“Hillary heard the passion of the people — the people behind Bernie — and brought those passions into the party’s platform,” the comedian said. “And that — that is the process of democracy at its very best.”

The crowd chanted "Bernie, Bernie."

“To the ‘Bernie or Bust’ people: You’re being ridiculous,” Silverman, leaning over the podium, standing along side Senator Al Franken.

However, as defenders of America’s social contract, we insist that the rules laid down by both parties at the outset of campaigns be respected, and that the results be decided by free elections.
