Sanders Will Cooperate With Clinton But No Endorsement

Campaign says he is still a candidate.

Bernie Sanders is beaten but not out. The socialist senator from Vermont is pledging to cooperate with Hillary Clinton in trying to defeat Donald Trump, but so far has not endorsed her. In fact, Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver says his boss is still in the race.

"He is an active candidate for president," Weaver told MSNBC.

In a video address that Sanders live-streamed over his social networks, the presidential hopeful said defeating Trump was the job at hand.

"The major political task that together we face in the next five months is to make certain  that Donald Trump is defeated and defeated badly and I personally intend to begin my role in that process in a very short period of time," Sanders said.

Clinton is now picking up the endorsements of left-wing voters and organizations that had been sitting on the fence waiting for a clear victory by either side. Both Oprah Winfrey and the AFL-CIO trade union organization endorsed Clinton this week.

The Freedom Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Therefore we do not endorse political candidates either in primary or general elections. However, as defenders of America’s social contract, we insist that the rules laid down by both parties at the outset of campaigns be respected, and that the results be decided by free elections. We will oppose any attempt to rig the system and deny voters of either party their constitutional right to elect candidates of their choice.
