A filmmaker who has not made a hit movie in close to 30 years declared that "all out war" will be needed if he and his cohorts in la resistance hope to stop Trump.
Rob Reiner -- still best-known as the hippie son-in-law Archie Bunker called "Meathead" on the '70s sitcom All in the Family, made his decree on Sunday when he lamented on Twitter about Fox News reporting on Trump's alleged, and mostly disproved, collusion with Russia to steal the election from Hillary.
“When Fox says that DT colluding with the enemy is not a crime, the fight to save Democracy is now an all out war. US-Stay strong. #Treason,” he wrote.
The social media trolls did not let him live this one down. Keep in mind, Reiner wrote this just two weeks after a leftist tried to assassinate several GOP congressmen.
Last May, Reiner also called then-candidate Trump “insane” and decried his supporters as “racist.” When he realized that wasn't a winning strategy and Trump became President, Reiner than called his administration “a cancerous presidency that we cannot allow to spread.”
“What’s interesting here is that we really have a test, and we are being tested as to whether or not our democracy is going to survive,” Reiner said on MSNBC in February. “We have somebody who’s mentally unstable, who is a pathological liar -- there’s no getting around that -- who’s running our country.”
