Poll: Dead Heat for Trump and Clinton

National matchup ties the frontrunners.

If the presidential election were held today, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump would tie - assuming they are their respective parties' nominees - according to the latest poll from Rasmussen Reports:

If the 2016 presidential election was held today, 37% of Likely U.S. Voters would vote for Clinton, while 36% would vote for Trump. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that a sizable 22% would choose some other candidate, while five percent (5%) are undecided.

Despite occasional blips from challengers Ted Cruz on the Republican side and Bernie Sanders on the Democratic side, Trump and Clinton continue to lead the nomination battles in each party.

According to Rasmussen, in a head-to-head lineup, Trump would take more votes from men (41% to 31%) over Clinton while Clinton takes women over Trump by a similar margin (42% to 31%). Trump is favored by white voters while Clinton is supported by more minorities.
